Fabler
Theatre Company were developing a new adaptation of Oscar Wilde's
much-loved fairy tale in August 2011, as part of WMC's Inc'ling
project. The promenade performance featured music, poetry, drama and
aerial performances.
"We set out to explore methods of devising, adapting, and storytelling.
With a large and diverse team of highly skilled individuals, I have
tried to give everyone the freedom to explore new ways of working, all
within the same space and with the same stunning fairy-tale for
inspiration. We have strived to create a supportive environment in
which creativity can flourish and our imaginations can run free,
whether on the floor, on the page, on the piano, or in the air, without
pressure or expectation. Hopefully, through this process, we have all
developed a little further in our own fields." Adam Timms

"I was very impressed with
the quality of the writing. Each piece was very different, sharp and
interesting. They were all quite challenging to the audience too and we
really enjoyed that." Theatre Writer, Wales
"It was so good to hear
writing by someone who cares about language and the quality of
dialogue." Theatre Writer, Wales
"I loved the plays - sharp
dialogue, pacey and very witty. Lovely performances too - I barely
noticed the scripts - and great physicality." Actor, Wales
